Christmas? New Year's?

I have no idea what I'm going to do for Christmas or New Year's this year.  I spent most of the past month thinking about my qualifying exam, which was nice.  Since most people plan for these sorts of holidays, I find myself unsure of what to do.  Should I go somewhere?  Stay here?  I have a lot to do here, but it would be nice to get out to the desert.
